A typical village, in a remote location next to the northern border of Spain, where curiously, there is a Padornelo, about 100 km away. Will there be any connection?
The village doesn’t justify a trip, but if you’re visiting Montalegre it is well worth a detour.

As a small village, it offers visitors a chance to experience the charm of rural life in Portugal. The local community is mainly engaged living around the Church of São Miguel, a small chapel that stands in the village center.
