Tulum ruin – 2 hours visit and a swim

To see Tulum ruins

Returning from the deep Yucatan to Cancun with an extra day of car rent, we used it to visit Tulum and Xel-Ha park.

The ruins are an ancient Mayan walled city situated on a cliff overlooking the Caribbean Sea, and that is the main difference to the other ruins that we visited. The other is the worse conservation condition of these ones.

Tulum ruins

It was a very brief visit, the ruins didn’t add much to the impressions caught in Chichen-Itza and Uxmal, but its location by the sea provides different perspectives and images.

Furthermore, with the advantage that, as soon as the kids got tired with the “old stones”, we could descend and have a swim, before proceeding to Xel-Ha.
