After more than 50 years postponing, the attempt to visit the palace took place at the end of a long and magnificent journey through the lands of Sintra.

That’s the drama of this palace – Sintra has always too much to see and… delay.

So long was the journey, that the arrival time no longer justified entry. The exterior was photographed, and the visit was postponed to a new opportunity.

It’s still very close, so it’s easy to postpone (I promise not to wait another 50 years).
