Penacova Beach

Much of the beauty of the village results from the Mondego, with the beautiful banks well used. Far from the sea, the river beach is a pleasant spot on hot summer days.

Lorvão

In a deep valley in the Serra do Lorvão there is a parish with the same name, known for a famous monastery.

Lorvão Abbey

With a history that, according to some, dates back to the 6th century, the monastery is a gem that evolved until the 18th century, where the most significant remodeling gave it its current appearance. In addition to the temple, the cloister and the museum are worth visiting.

Livraria do Mondego

A little outside the village, a curious geological accident built a formation on the bank of the Mondego that a famous geologist named Library of Mondego. Interesting, seen from a distance, and read quickly.
