Arromanches – Memories of the warIt was a miracle of engineering and courage, the construction “in a glimpse” of this artificial port, essential to the invasion.
Done and abandoned more than 60 years ago, nor even the sea could erase the signs of that decisive construction.
Everything here pays its respect to the memory of the war, with a museum and evocative displays everywhere.
War Museum
In the city there is a war museum, by the harbour, that we didn’t visit.
Maybe it is interesting, but the whole area is a wide war museum by itself.
What else could we get inside those walls? Sad images and memories?
