In the middle of the Mar Menor, Los Alcazares is the biggest settlement, and maybe the biggest beach.
Everything is shallow in the area (land or water) and it is warm almost all year around.
Water sports, bike riding, and there’s not much more to see or to do, in a beach where children may be at ease.
Torre del Rami, an Arab fortress and a monument to the fishermen are all to see in town.
A large beach, in a shallow sea, or, should I say… lake?
I visited it while staying in La Manga, for sure, the best option in the area, because there, we have the same shallow sea/lake and also the open waters of the warm Mediterranean.
