The village

Provesende is a historic village known for its wine production and for being one of the most beautiful in the Douro wine region, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Architecture

The village shows the traditional granite houses and narrow streets, and that is enhanced with its location, on a hilltop with a panoramic view of the surrounding landscape.
Passing by Meixedo

Until I passed through this village in my way to Montalegre, I had never heard its name. I made a photo, and when I searched for references, I was surprised to find no less than three villages in Portugal with this uncommon name – one in Viana do Castelo, another in Tarouca, and… this one in Montalegre.
Which is the least interesting?
I will reply after discovering the other two (supposing that I will find them), but, reading I found that there were some administrative aggregations that indicate the progressive disappearance of some villages in the interior.
