After decades just passing by Pombal, (sometimes stopping to eat at Manjar do Marquês, I decided finally to enter town and have a look.
Well, time was short, and, for my despair, I couldn’t find a place to park (market day?).
Only a general look, and the confirmation that it may be better than I thought.
About two kilometers north of the city, in the old EN1, today IC2 road, there’s one of the national “monsters” to stop and eat. Despite its size, and the attempt to sell any gadget that a passing by costumer would possibly need, the food is oily but good.
No matter if you are a couple or 200, there will be a place to sit and eat. Not so quiet, obviously, but as prompt as possible. And the prices are popular, having in mind that it isn’t fast food.
Favorite Dish: “Arroz de tomate” with… your choice.
Address: IC2, Km 151, north of of the city.
Phone: 351 236 200 960
