To do in Pedrógão Pequeno

In fact, we didn’t go to Pedrógão Pequeno, we just stayed overnight in a local hotel, and spent the night and the next day in lively games around the Cabril dam.
Curious how, without visiting a place, you can make good memories of it!
Montanha

Reasonable service, cheap hotel with not many alternatives around. The food was not particularly convincing, but we were a large team, and “mass service” always risks to loose quality.

For a trip to the “deep Portugal” it may be an option. When I was there it was called “Varandas do Zêzere”. I read that it was closed and reopened under new name and management. I know nothing about the new reality, but the location is the same and the references very positive.

Rafting in Cabril

We spent a good day in team works in the dam of Cabril, building rafts and rowing in the calm waters.
Accessible from both Pedrógão (this time we stayed in Pedrógão Pequeno, in Castelo Branco district, but, at a very short distance, in the opposite side of the dam, we have also Pedrógão Grande, in Leiria district) in each side, I don’t know any local structure providing support to this kind of games.
