Visiting Praia de Mira
The beach

This is a popular beach located on the Atlantic coast of Portugal, between Aveiro and Figueira da Foz.
The beach itself is a long stretch of golden sand that is backed by dunes and pine forests.
In addition to swimming and sunbathing, there are many other activities to enjoy at Praia de Mira. These include surfing, kite surfing, windsurfing, and sailing.
Monument to the fishermen

The Monument to Fishermen in Mira is a bronze statue located by the sea, as a tribute to the local fishermen who have played a significant role in the history and economy of the region.
It was created by the Portuguese sculptor Lagoa Henriques and was unveiled in 1996.
Walkways

The beach extends along a narrow strip of land, between the sea and a large lagoon. Lining the lagoon there are gardens, shops, restaurants and bars, where the banks have been embellished with a walkway that provides pleasant walks.
Nautical sports

It is in the lagoon that most nautical activity is concentrated, and along the walkway we may find rentals of boats and sports material.
