Visiting Ponta Delgada
Ponta Delgada is the main destination in the Azores because, in addition to being an interesting city, it is a great place to stay during your entire stay, given the ease of planning short visits to the entire island.
Carlos Machado Museum
Needing to occupy two children for more than an hour away from the beach, I admitted that this museum responded to that need.
It was perfect.
The museum has an indisputable quality, which has been recognized, granting it a noble space that values it and that the kids didn’t even notice, but the adults didn’t fail to appreciate it.
The collection is very rich and curious.
S. Bras fort

The Forte de São Brás is a 16th-century fortification that was originally built to protect the city from pirate attacks.
It has undergone several renovations over the years and was used as a military barracks until the mid-20th century. Today, it houses the Azores Military Museum.
Marina

The Marina offers berthing for over 300 boats, ranging from small sailing boats to large yachts and cruise ships.
It is a starting point for various sea excursions, such as dolphin and whale watching tours, fishing trips, and sailing adventures.
It is also home to several events and festivals throughout the year.

Nacional

Very good lunch, with a typical touch in all the tasted dishes.
The first impression was not very god, with the restaurant looking old and outdated, however the service was professional and efficient.
We were in a shortage of time, but had no problems with that.

Casa Marisca

Our first meal in Ponta Delgada was in this restaurant, and we decided to taste their fish.
Well the daffodil fillets and the grilled squids were good, and the service was correct and gentle.
Also correct was the price.
