This region is known for its unique microclimate, being known for producing two main types of wine: red wine (Ramisco grapes) and white wine (Malvasia).

In 1921, the Viscount of Salreu erected here his large cellars.

The vernacular-inspired building stretches along two parallel blocks in the road that connects the city to Maçãs Beach.

Peninha is a small mountain located in this parish, just a short drive from the town of Sintra. At the top of the mountain, there is a small chapel, built in the 17th century, but the most impressive are the breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape an sea.
