In my youth, it was common for a group of young people to venture to the remote outskirts of Alcobaça to dine in a butcher’s shop with an annex where the freshness and abundance of the meat provided great meals. The success allowed it to evolve into a restaurant with other resources and solutions, but which I stopped going to for many years for circumstantial reasons. There remains the longing, and the curiosity to, when it becomes available, try the new and bigger version, and its relationship with the butcher shop, which also lasts.
