Eating in Angra – 4 excellent choices

Our first dinner in Angra was a very good experience. I had a great pepper steak, with a so good sauce that I had to order a second dish of chips to let Fernanda help me finishing it.

The meat was tender, Fernanda’s shrimps were tasty, but that sauce….

I couldn’t come to Azores without tasting tuna fish in a local recipe.

It happened in this restaurant. Grilled and presented upon a sweet potato and vegetables, it was something new as expected.

Not an outstanding meal, but a good one.

We almost entered for the first dinner, attracted by the good look, but as Fernanda only wanted a soup, we postponed to the next lunch. It was very good – I had spaghetti with shrimps, and Fernanda fish fillet with rice. Both of us tasted both dishes, no one could decide which one was the best. Good choice!

Before leaving the continent, a friend born in Terceira recommended us to eat… something in Beira Mar.

I forgot that “something”, but couldn’t forget the place, because it was our hotel.

We had a good dinner, a shrimp salad and a steak with mushrooms sauce, calmly served in an almost empty restaurant, at a fair price.
