Amieira do Tejo is a native village not far from the Tagus River, but, contrary to what the name suggests, it is not a riverside village.
A very small settlement does, however. the curiosity of two monuments with some relief. Then, approaching the Tagus, there are some interesting landscapes.
Highlights in Amieira do Tejo:
The castle, with Belver defending the other side of the river, the chapel of Calvário, and the walkways of the barca d’Amieira, especially in the part closest to the Fratel dam, where you can also enter.
