Queluz is a town in the municipality of Sintra, without anything of note apart from a high population density typical of satellite towns, and… a palace.
The Palace is referred to as the Portuguese Versailles, and, despite the enormity of the differences, with full legitimacy, either by the attempt at imitation or by the pretentious opulence.
Highlights in Queluz:
The palace, obviously, and its gardens. There’s a luxury hotel occupying part of the palace.
