Castle of Porto de Mós
Built in 1200 on top of a previous fortification, the castle played an important role in the entire history of the Middle Ages.
Ruined by the 1755 earthquake, it was declared a national monument in the last century, and has since been restored. It is today the great image of the city.
Caves
Not exactly in the city, but in its surroundings and very close, there are several of the most beautiful caves in Portugal.
Santo António, Mira de Aire, and Alvados are the most popular.
Garden
In the city center, a garden area bordering the River Lena invites you to relax, although prepared for children’s and youth activities, including internet access.
S. Pedro church
The Church of São Pedro is a good example of Baroque architecture, that dates back to the late 17th century. Inside, visitors encounter a chapel dedicated to the Lord of the Steps, featuring marble from Alqueidão da Serra, Chão de Maçãs, and Juncal. The 18th-century main altar and altarpiece showcase black, pink, and yellow marbles. Notably, the wooden statue of the patron saint, São Pedro, hails from India (1867) and is crafted from Nova Goa wood. The church also boasts 20th-century azulejo panels depicting miraculous fishing and the keys given to São Pedro.
St. Anthony

Built in the seventeenth century by popular subscription, it is located on a hill, accessed through a staircase, with a statue of the saint. Inside there are 17th century tiles and interesting paintings on the walls.
Theater
Opened in 1993, the so-called Cine-teatro is a building with a modern design, prepared for different types of events, with a capacity appropriate to the size of the city.
