Évora is a precious city, a highlight of all visits to Portugal that are not restricted to one of the three obligatory hubs – Lisbon, Porto and the Algarve.
Rich in history, well inserted in the typical Alentejo landscape, easy to access from Lisbon and unavoidable in its connection to the Algarve, the city justifies at least a day trip.
Highlights in Évora:
The city center with the cathedral, the temple of Diana, the Giraldo. several unmissable churches with S. Francisco at the top, and many other details that come across when walking around the city.
If you have time, the surroundings are very interesting, in particular Monsaraz and Vila Viçosa.
