In a very remote area of Portugal, bordering Spain, a source of water considered medicinal, with a centuries-old history of use, was privatized a hundred years ago and commercially exploited.
The village of Termas de Monfortinho, in an area where there is, in fact, beautiful places to see (Monsanto, Penha Garcia, Idanha…), has nothing special except the spa, with structures built in the 40s.
Highlights in Termas de Monfortinho:
The spa, and the possibility of short trips to beautiful villages.
