When a village is promoted to city, containing “villa” in the name this one, the baptism becomes difficult. Santa Maria solves the problem, it’s more beautiful, but the Portuguese keep it simple, and only accept Feira. To complicate matters, it belongs to the district of Aveiro, and to the metropolitan area of Porto. Don’t worry, it’s worth a visit.
