Opatija is an Istrian seaside town near Rijeka.

Nowadays Dubrovnik is called “the pearl of the Adriatic”, but that title once belonged to this city.

As a tourist town for many decades before the tourism boom, it has maintained much of its Belle Époque image, from its heyday as a seaside resort.
