Pittsburgh is the second largest city in Pennsylvania, after Philadelphia.
Until the mid-20th century, the city was the largest steel producer in the world, concentrating a huge density of steel and glass industries, with the inherent pollution bill.
With the decline in competitiveness of these industries, the industrial profile was reconverted, investing in high-tech industries, especially biotechnology and robotics, where today Pittsburgh is one of the world’s largest producers.
The city benefited from this reconversion, and, in environmental terms, this is today one of the most demanding cities, and advanced in terms of legislation.
Highlights in Pittsburgh:
Carnegie Complex – Library, museums, science center
Duquesne Incline
strip district
Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Gardens

Pittsburgh – 2 free hours and work
